Senior Lifestyles PRO has been recognized by Eldercare Review Magazine as the exclusive recipient of “Top Senior Living Marketing Agency In Canada 2026,” based on our proprietary methodology, reflecting its position in the industry, and is also named among “Top Senior Living Solutions in Canada,” reflecting its broader leadership. This profile has been developed by the Eldercare Review research and editorial team based on insights from an interview with Elisa Prashad, Owner and Senior Marketing Specialist.
Elisa Prashad, Owner and Senior Marketing SpecialistA retirement community outside Toronto seemed well positioned to succeed. It had contemporary design, strong amenities and access to a large local market. Still, inquiries weren’t coming. What was missing was not quality, but connection. The community’s story, value and identity were not reaching prospective residents and families in a clear, consistent way.
When Elisa Prashad, owner and senior marketing specialist at Senior Lifestyles PRO (SLPRO), reviewed the community’s marketing, she saw the disconnect quickly. Print materials were fragmented, social channels had gone quiet, signage felt out of step with the on-site experience and key promotional opportunities were being missed. Prashad brought the brand back into alignment across collateral, social media, events and the physical environment. Within 30 days, inbound calls and email inquiries began to rise, with stronger lead activity following as the program matured.
The story reflects how Prashad works and why she built SLPRO around senior-market insight.
Founded in 2005, when senior living marketing still relied heavily on print and direct mail, SLPRO focuses on adults aged 65-plus. Prashad leveraged her experience from VP roles at Amica Senior Lifestyles and Origin Active Lifestyles, along with marketing leadership at a Canadian fintech serving the 55-plus audience. Her branding training at Ontario College of Art & Design University continues to shape the agency’s design work. For two decades, she has marketed more than 200 senior communities across Canada and the U.S.
“Branding starts with understanding how a client sees itself, what residents value, and how the market behaves. Because senior living decisions occur through a blend of digital and traditional channels, our role is to deliver total fluency across both, shaping a clear identity first,” says Prashad.
Senior living decisions unfold over time across multiple channels, so SLPRO works across both digital and traditional touchpoints. Independent living leads may take more than a year to convert, while assisted living moves faster and memory care often has the shortest cycle. To support each path, SLPRO offers more than 25 services tailored to each client’s goals and budget.
Listening Before Building
When SLPRO onboards a client, the team audits the community’s online and offline materials and speaks with people across the organization, not only the administrator or property manager.
“We also speak with lifestyle team members and even some residents,” says Prashad. “That helps us get a real sense of who the community is.”
“We do not need our client’s website to get thousands of hits,” says Prashad. “We need the ones that take the time to download the brochure and fill out a contact us form.”
SLPRO studies the client’s business and the surrounding area, identifying opportunities broader campaigns may miss.
The same approach applies across industries. Prashad’s clients include retirement communities, home care agencies, financial services firms and wellness organizations, all serving the same 65-plus audience through different products.
Speed Protects the Opportunity
None of this works without timely follow-up. Prashad has watched prospects choose competitors that simply responded faster.
“Usually, whoever replies first has the best chance of converting that lead,” she says.
That is why SLPRO invests in personalization, even stronger CRM, automation and chat tools that respond to families even when a sales team is unavailable, narrowing the gap between interest and conversation.
Baby boomers are entering their senior years in larger numbers, and many communities Prashad works with are now full or near-full following the post-COVID recovery. Senior living has shifted from a clinical, care-driven model to a hospitality-forward lifestyle built around amenities, dining and design, a transformation Prashad experienced firsthand at Amica.
Twenty years in, she is still building for where the audience is headed next. SLPRO combines decades of market knowledge with modern tools, but its work still begins the same way: listening closely enough to understand what makes a client distinct.
