For U.S. Army veteran Clarence R. Cobb, home is more than a place—it’s a living tribute to a life well lived. Clarence has called his Northeastern Ohio house home for more than 46 years, a space he and his late wife, Rose Marie, lovingly built together after his military service in Okinawa and Vietnam.
Upon experiencing mobility challenges and the loss of his beloved wife, Clarence found himself in need of extra support. That’s when Cornerstone Caregiving stepped in.
“Cornerstone came in—and they’ve been a lot of help,” Cobb shares.
With the assistance of his caregiver, Lanita, Clarence continues to enjoy the simple joys of everyday life—from grocery trips and laundry days to lively conversation and laughter.
“It’s the little things that would be hard for me to do otherwise,” he says with a smile. “She keeps me on my toes. I look forward to her being here.”

Robert, a U.S. Air Force veteran and former Air Medical Specialist during the Vietnam era, once played a critical role in supporting the health of pilots and even assisting undercover FBI agents. Today, he continues to live independently in the house he treasures, alongside his loyal dogs.
“I still wanted to live here at the house,” Rice says. “That’s why we got help to come in.”
That help came in the form of Autumn, his caregiver, who now visits five days a week. Whether it’s preparing meals, caring for the dogs, or simply sharing heartfelt conversations, Autumn is a steady, compassionate presence in Robert’s life.
“She fixes my meals and helps with everything,” he says warmly. “She’s very kind.”
With personalized support tailored to his daily needs, Robert continues to live life on his terms—enveloped by the comforts and companionship that make his home a true sanctuary.
